Textile Jewelry Workshop
In this hands-on workshop you’ll turn Chinese silk into three pairs of earrings that are all your own. We’ll start with some traditional Chinese knots and ties, an art form passed down for generations. Then you’ll weave and shape the silk into wearable art.
You don’t need any experience. We’ll guide you step by step as you learn the basic knots, pick your colours and finish each pair. You’ll go home with three one-of-a-kind pairs to wear, mix and match, or give as gifts. 🎁
About the venue
We’re hosting this workshop at Silk and Stone, a local Oakville gift shop full of handmade goodies from local artists. It’s the place to go for Christmas shopping and birthday gifts. Come early or stay after to browse. Every purchase supports local makers and small businesses like ours. 💛
